IAPMO R&T Lab Adds ANSI/NSF 61 Laboratory 11/19/2004
ONTARIO, Calif. - IAPMO R&T Lab opened its new chemical testing laboratory in September 2004.
Combined with its already successful mechanical laboratory, the chemical lab is equipped to test products to NSF/ANSI-61 and provide manufacturers with one-stop testing.
The new lab allows us to offer an additional testing service under one roof to plumbing manufacturers, especially to those that make products that require NSF/ANSI-61 testing and certification, said Ken Wijaya, director of IAPMO R&T Lab.
Mike Briggs, who joined IAPMO R&T Lab last year is managing the new laboratory operations and has overseen the labs construction. Im happy to say that construction stayed on schedule and testing has now commenced, said Mike Briggs.
The new facility features the latest equipment for measuring regulated metals and organics (GC-MS and ICPMS).
The high performance and capability of the equipment will allow manufacturers to have their products tested quickly and accurately at a reasonable cost.
Product testing by IAPMO R&T Lab is recognized and accepted by all leading listing and certifying bodies.
